Changi Airport
Changi Aiport is Singapore's 3rd commercial airport to be built. It was completed in 1987, with 2 passenger terminals.
Currently, Changi Airport serves more than 1 million passengers per day and is a connecting point between places in the west and east of the globe. Changi Airport
has 3 passenger terminals, in which one of them is specially designated for budget airlines only. The 4th and newest passenger terminal is due to be completed in
2008 and will thereby increase the number of runways to 3.
Changi Airport also provides passengers with tax-free shopping opportunities. In the restricted area of the airport, goods are priced without taxation and shoppers
can buy home Singapore's local specialities at a much lower price.
